A few words about me...
I am an IT Engineer from Barcelona. I arrived to Luxembourg in 2005 to work for one of the European Institutions here, where I am still working as of today. Photography is my way to wind out.
Another one of my other passions is music and going to concerts. I have always enjoyed live music and since I came to live in Luxembourg I do that very frequently, as we have a live music scene of top quality here. Just going to a venue and sharing the same space with strangers with similar interests makes me feel like part of a bigger scheme of things and relaxes me a lot. And I am a curious being so discovering a new band or how a song sounds live is often an exciting reward to the time and money spent on the concert.
At concerts I started just taking mobile phone photos, most of them were worthless. Every now and then a not-so-bad one would surprise me. In 2015 I bought a DSLR and refreshed the photography notions I learned when young and I also started observing the pro's in action as well. I have never stopped shooting concerts since then.
Most of the photos I publish here are taken with a good amateur-level camera, a Sony or Ricoh compact or a mirrorless Panasonic GX9 and with the limitations and advantages of shooting from the audience. I usually shoot with prime lenses. As I am not in the concert as a professional photographer I usually don’t have a photo pass or the possibility to bring better equipment. The occasional chance to shoot from the pit will of course be welcome if the style of photography that I am bringing to the table suits your needs. I shoot with Pentax equipment APS-C and/or Full Frame on the occasions I can have a photopass or if the event is outdoor free access.
